Our hospital staff is committed to making your stay pleasant. If there is something additional we can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask. We will do all we can to accommodate your request.

Your Personal Belongings and Valuables
We suggest you wear your dressing gown, bathrobe and slippers every time you leave your room. Please do not keep valuables, including cash, important papers, charge cards and jewelry in your room. We advise you to leave these items at home or place them in the hospital safe. Your nurse can assist you with the safekeeping of your belongings. Please remember that the hospital cannot be responsible for the disappearance or damage of your personal possessions. If you discover something missing, immediately contact a staff member on your floor. That person will contact the Security Department. Or, please call Bryn Mawr Hospital Security, ext. 3170, directly.

Meals
Each day you will receive a  World Class Patient Service (WCPS) menu on your breakfast tray. The menu is for your meal selections for the following day. Please have it ready for collection after breakfast so we can be sure you receive the selections you prefer. Our staff can assist you in making menu selections and explain any choices unfamiliar to you. If your diet is changed for any reason, our staff will accommodate the change at the next meal. If you prefer a vegetarian or Kosher diet, please mention this to your nurse. Also, please alert us to any food allergies you may have.

Your meal may be delayed due to scheduled medical tests or procedures. A courtesy meal tray will be provided when medically allowed after your test/procedure.

The hospital cafeteria is also available to family members and visitors.

Smoke-Free Hospital
Our hospital is a smoke-free hospital. While smoking in a private room may seem like a patient's right, the right to freedom from involuntary second-hand smoke, we believe, must take precedence. Smoking in the hospital also contradicts our basic mission of regaining and maintaining health. Visitors and patients may smoke only in designated areas outside of the hospital building.  Hospital policy requires a physician's order permitting a patient to smoke.

MAC Machine (ATM/Automatic Teller Machine)
An ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) is located near the cafeteria.

Please ask visitors to take latex balloons back out to the car. Mylar balloons are a safe alternative.
