Meeting the Special Needs of our Patients
The Bryn Mawr Hospital Cancer Center's commitment to personalized cancer care encompasses the entire family, addressing each
patient's unique needs and supporting them through the diagnosis, treatment and recovery periods. We work closely with community
resources such as the American Cancer Society to meet the special needs of patients and loved ones as well as educational
and informational resources. Here are some of the support services we offer:

Lymphedema Management Program: Following surgery, some patients may experience lymphedema or swelling of the limbs due to insufficient drainage of the lymphatic
system. The Bryn Mawr Hospital Cancer Center offers an individualized program with specially trained therpaists to help patients
prevent alleviated this painful condition and promote recovery. More Info!

Psychosocial Support: Bryn Mawr has a dedicated oncology social worker who addresses issues such as community resource referral, copin gwith illness,
family and relationship concerns and financial or insurance needs. Group and individual counsleing is also available.

Pain and Symptom Management Program: Oncology-certifed nurses, in coordination with the cancer treatment team, can help patients manage symptoms such as pain,
fatigue and nausea.
