Art Ability President's Message
Dear Artists and Art Lovers : Thank you so much for your interest in Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital’s Art Ability Program. As you may know, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern, PA is a 151-bed acute care specialty hospital. The hospital has been a leader in physical and related cognitive rehabilitation for three decades, treating more than 6,400 inpatients and outpatients each year who have such catastrophic injuries and illnesses as stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis. Our mission is to provide superior rehabilitative services, to enhance the quality of peoples’ lives, to help them regain a sense of dignity and a greater level of independence, and to advocate and work for their access to the resources available in the community. Art Ability is an international, juried exhibition and sale of art and fine crafts that features work by artists with physical and related cognitive disabilities, hearing and visual impairments. The exhibition introduces the public to the courage and talent of artists with disabilities and provides both a showcase and a market for their work. Now in its tenth year, Art Ability has grown into the largest and most comprehensive exhibition of its kind in the nation, with more than 1,350 pieces sold since its inception.
For your review and consideration, this website provides Call for Entry forms and other information. Again, thank you for your interest. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Art Ability Office at ArtAbility@mlhs.org. Sincerely,
