For Your Health
At Lankenau Hospital, providing each patient and their family with information about their health, treatment options, and
care plans is one of our primary focuses. We do understand that too much or too little information can be challenging for
you and your family. Please help us meet your needs by letting us know if there is anything else we can do to help you understand
your condition and plan of care.
All of our highly qualified healthcare professionals attempt to provide patient information through several avenues. Each
method provides information on a wide variety of health related issues such as cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease,
women's health, men's health, maternity, orthopedic, nutrition, exercise, stress, and many more. Listed below are a few of
the opportunities for education that you may encounter during your stay:
-
Patient Education TV - Features a variety of health related educational programs throughout the day. Please take advantage of watching an educational
program, as it may help to answer some of your questions. Please ask your nurse or healthcare professional for information
and guidance on how to access the Patient Education channel.
-
Written Material - A wide variety of written material is available on each nursing unit and in each specialty area. We make every attempt to
provide you with current information but if we haven't met your expectations, please let us know.
-
Health Care Professionals - We have a diverse group of highly qualified healthcare professionals to answer your questions. If you have a question about
your health, a medical test or procedure, diet, exercise, etc., please ask. Our goal is to answer your questions before you
ask, but if we haven't, please let us know.
-
Community Health Education and Screenings - Main Line Health is committed to providing a wide range of health education and screenings. We offer seminars that cover
a variety of topics such as heart disease, cancer, orthopedics, women's health and men's health.
Classes and screenings also address a broad array of health issues and interventions such as blood pressure screenings, cardiac
risk assessments, stroke screenings, CPR classes, babysitting classes, nutrition, exercise, and may more. For more information,
